getting started

Your Comfort is Key

An introductory consultation before starting therapy or scheduling an assessment can make you feel more comfortable with the entire process.

The purpose of the consultation is to:

  • Determine if you’re comfortable talking with the psychologist;
  • Learn what it might be like to work with the provider;
  • Find out more about the psychologist and see if they have worked with issues like yours before;
  • Discover how therapy can help and what treatment is recommended for your particular situation.

The goal of the introductory consultation is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. This session will lessen any apprehensions or anxiety you may feel so when you begin, you can benefit fully from treatment and have a successful and rewarding experience.

During your free 15-minute telephone or video consultation, we will discuss the therapy or assessment process, explore your situation and goals, discuss payment options, and address any questions you may have. At the end of the consultation, you will be supplied some materials to look over. These materials are for you to review while reflecting on how you felt during the consultation. If you decide that you would like to work with us, you can book an appointment online or with the psychologist directly via phone or email.
